How to Prepare for Eyelash Extension?● Do not wear eye makeup. Makeup close to the eye area must be removed prior to the application process. Use a mild, oil-free cleanser. Do not use oil-based makeup removers. ● Do not apply face creams or sunblock in the eye area. The oil found in many moisturizers prevents eyelash adhesive from bonding to the natural eyelash and reduces the longevity of your eyelash extensions. Use Oil-Free products. ● Do not put on mascara. Removing mascara can be very time-consuming and any residual makeup will prevent proper application of the extensions. ● Do not curl your lashes before your appointment. Extensions will not adhere to crimped eyelashes. ● Please silence your phone while the extensions are being applied. Talking in the treatment room is prohibited as the lash application requires precision. Feel free to listen to your own audio or take a nap and let the lash transformation begin. ● We do not perform refill services on work that was not done at Lash n Brow by KT – NO EXCEPTIONS. If you currently have lash extensions on, it is required to book a removal service with your new set on your first visit. This is to avoid the risk of mixing different adhesives and different materials with extensions applied at other salons. Please, arrive here without having any makeups on, especially eye-makeups including mascaras. You also should not curl them up before getting lashes done. You have to remove all eye makeups prior to the lash extension and this may take a while. If you are wearing any makeups, please arrive 10-15mins earlier to remove them. Even if you had removed all mascaras, as remover contains oily chemicals, this may prevent longer maintenance of lash extensions.

Important Note *Please note that Lash Lift service is best for clients with fuller and longer natural lashes - if your lashes are very thin or short, you will not experience the desired full effect. *Brow Lift service is best for clients that have fuller natural brows - if you have overly tweezed or have very few natural brows, there will not be much to work with and the results may be lacking. * If you have stiff natural lashes, we recommend getting Keratin Lash Lift for better results. *If you have senstive skins, we recommend getting Gluless Keratin Lash Lift for less damage to your natural lashes and no irritation your eyelids/skin.

What is the extra concerns about PMU/SMP appointment?Cold Sores and Fever Blisters for Lip Tattoos: In the case of permanent lip color, cold sores and fever blisters MUST be treated. If you get cold sores or have ever had one in the past, you will need an antiviral prescription from your doctor before a lip procedure. Physicians usually instruct to take it 2 days before. As this procedure will bring out the virus if not medicated beforehand. Oily Skin: If you have oily skin, results will appear softer and may require additional procedures. Preparing the Skin: To prepare the skin, you will need to cleanse the area free of makeup. Clean with baby-wipes, makeup remover or apply antibacterial soap with a Q-Tip to remove any excess skin oils. Pain Preparation: PMU can be a painful procedure. However, there are great numbing solutions for before, during and after that can be used for comfort throughout your PMU procedure. How to Aftercare for Eyelash Extension?Don't get them wet within 24 hours. Because the glue has to be dried up perfectly so that shape can remain constant. When you take a shower, please avoid getting direct water towards our lashes. This may create a twist, or make our lashes fall out quicker. Try to gently pat your lashes with a towel instead of rubbing or pushing them so hard. It is best if you can avoid touching or rubbing lash extensions after getting lashes done. If you pulling out the lashes by yourself, this will cause your natural lashes to fall out, too. Keep doing so will damage and ruin your own lashes, and it may take a while for new lashes to grow out again. Do not wear eye makeup, especially Oil-based or Waterproof MASCARA! The clumped makeup will damage the natural eyelashes. Please Do Not wear the mascaras with eyelash extensions, Waterproof mascara, or any oil-based mascara that can dissolve the bonding agent and shorten the life of your eyelash extensions, causing them to fall sooner. USE Mild, OIL-FREE PRODUCTS! Do not use Oil-based products! Do not apply face lotions or sunblocks near the eye area. Do not curl your lashes. Eyelash Extension is already designed with different types of curls, so you don't need to curl them. It will damage your own lashes. After a week or a week and a half, your natural lashes will grow out like your natural hair. This may cause our lash extensions to get twisted/ crooked / go in different directions. We recommend using a brush to comb them from the bottom to the top gently. Extremely be careful when you start from the bottom ( as strong stress may cause your lashes to fall out ). Just using the tip! Lash extensions are vulnerable to high temperatures or high humidity. For the next few days, avoid going to the swimming pool or sauna ( steam rooms ). If you regularly visit those, lashes may fall out quicker than usual. Also, if you sweat a lot, sweating can also weaken glue as well. We recommend coming in every 2 to 3 weeks for maintenance refills.

How to Aftercare for PMU/Cosmetic Tattoos?***PROPER CARE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE IS NECESSARY FOR BEST RESULTS. PMU ARTISTS CANNOT GUARANTEE PERFECT OUTCOMES. IF YOU NEED TOUCHUPS, PRICING IS BELOW: *Color Fades about 40-50% for Brows and about 50-70% for Lips Once Healed. *Redness Right After is due to blood circulation and blood at the surface of the skin. *FOR THE FIRST 24 HOURS: Wipe away excess lymph fluid that is dripping. Lymph fluid occurs anytime there is open skin and can happen for brows or lips. You may or may not experience this, but if you do you must wipe it off the skin. Do not allow this fluid to harden into thicker scabs, which will pull out chunks of color unevenly. *For Lips, reapply thin layer of ointment after each wipe. *For Brows, just wipe and keep DRY. POST PROCEDURE: There will be an epithelial crust that forms in the days following the procedure. This crust is a combination of dried pigment and plasma that forms externally. It is important that you do not pick it. Picking the crust will result in a loss of pigment. The crust will fall off naturally within a few days. For the first few days following the procedure, the area will feel similar to that of a sunburn. A topical ointment can help soothe the area. Apply antibiotic ointment twice daily. This will soothe the area, keeping it moist and helping it heal properly. FOLLOW THIS DAILY REGIME: DO NOT touch the treated area unless applying ointment. No scratching, rubbing, or picking of the treated area Be cautious around the area (such as pulling clothing over your head) DO NOT apply makeup, skincare products, soaps, facewashes, exfoliants, creams, sprays, etc. or anything to prevent infection, irritation, clogged pores, inflammation, or strippage of color until healed. DO NOT pick at scabs, peel off the shedding skin in any way during the full healing process. If you do, you will also take away color and interfere with the results. Itching is normal - Anytime skin heals, there is itchiness. DO NOT scratch! DO NOT sleep on them. DO NOT wet area for 7 days. NO hot steaming showers or direct water spray. Sweat and Steam are bad for color retention!!! No working out for 3 days minimum, and the rest of the week stick to sweat-less weights or light yoga and stretching. DO NOT expose your healing skin to direct sun (3-4 weeks or until fully healed), tanning beds (1 month) hot tubs, saunas, steam, salt water, chlorinated pools. Apply ointment 1 - 3 times a day on treated area until peeling comes off; normally 5 to 7 days. (Again do not peel the area yourself, let this fall off naturally) Follow with antibiotic ointment for one week Touch up may be done after 21 days(3 weeks), however its best to wait 4 - 6 weeks. FOR BROWS: Simply keep totally dry and after 7 weeks apply your regular moisturizer if dry. FOR LIPS: Reapply ointment every 3-4 hours after excess lymph fluid stops dripping within the first 24 hours. Reapply ointment this way, letting lips dry in between applications, for the rest of the week. Apply ointment before brushing teeth, taking showers, or washing other areas of the face. AVOID any staining foods like red wine, soy sauce, black coffee, or strongly colored foods. Sour, spicy, hot, acidic foods will irritate your lips. When brushing teeth, use less toothpaste and spit frequently. CUT food and place gently in mouth. Avoid greasy or saucy foods during healing. SIGNS OF INFECTION: Soreness usually only lasts for a few hours afterwards. There should be no persistent, redness, pain, swelling, or pus on the area. If so, please consult your physician. Infections are RARE due to disposable needles and products used during the procedure. You are responsible for seeking medical attention. For Cold Sores or Other Clogs and Bumps, consult your physician. (Most of the time, it cause Because of the clients' conditions that day or lower immunse conditions) Once Your Tattoo is Healed: use at least SPF 15 or 30 daily for best longterm results and avoid exfoliating your tattoo with facials or home scrubs and acids/retinols/etc. _____________________________________ EYELINER TATTOO AFTERCARE: DO NOT PICK OR TOUCH THE EYELINER TATTOO - Picking or peeling the eyeliner scabs will result in poor color retention and raw skin, and possible bacterial infection. DO NOT WET the eyeliner tattoo as much as possible. Avoid direct water contact in the shower or while washing your face. Avoid hot water and steam during bathing for the next 7 days to prevent opening your pores/causing some of the pigment to sweat out. ***The final results heal 20-40% lighter than the day you got them done. The darkness of the first few days is followed by peeling/scabbing and a few days of patchiness. Color looks uneven, light and dark, during this time. When ALL of the scabs have fallen off, it takes another week or so for the color to settle in. I put a lot of color in during the procedure, so if the skin does not retain a desired amount of color, you should come in for a touchup. I cannot control how much color your skin chooses to absorb, or how evenly it heals to a certain extent. Most procedures require a touchup to fix inconsistencies and perfect what was done the first time. Minor adjustments in shaping are possible at a touchup. ***Eyeliner is the MOST DIFFICULT technique due to client’s pain level fluctuation, sensitive eye area, and the need for layering the pigment multiple times/skin rejection of pigments sometimes but is so beautiful when healed properly.

What is the Eyelash Extensions?1. How are eyelash extensions applied? Our eyelash extensions are applied individually, one by one, 1mm away from the eyelid, never directly on the skin, to your natural eyelashes using a medical-grade formaldehyde-free adhesive. Lash extensions come in different lengths, thicknesses, and curls, results can vary from very subtle and natural to very noticeable and dramatic. 2. How long does the procedure take? The procedure can take anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a thirty minutes depending on the service received. 3. Are eyelash extensions bad/harmful? No, eyelash extensions are no worse than applying mascara. 4. Does it hurt? No, eyelash extensions are painless. Most clients feel comfortable enough to fall asleep during the procedure. At Lash n Brow by KT, we use superior quality products to bring the highest level of comfort possible for our clients. 5. Do I need to make an appointment? Yes, appointments are required as we cannot guarantee accommodation for walk-ins. Please schedule an appointment and honor your appointment time to avoid long waits and to ensure quality lash application. 6. What do I need to do before my appointment? Please arrive with no makeup on or around the eye area. When removing makeup around the eyes, use a mild cleanser and avoid using moisturizers, sunscreen, and removers that have oil-based formulas. Lashes must be clean for the adhesive to bond properly. 7. I wear contacts, may I wear them during the procedure? We recommend removing your contact lenses before lash application. Eyes may feel dry and irritated with contact lenses kept in during lash application since your eyes must be kept closed for the entirety of the appointment (~1 hour). 8. My eyelash extensions were done at another salon. Can I still get them done? We require a removal of your existing extensions before applying your lashes here as we do not perform refill services on work that was not done at Lash n Brow by KT. This is to avoid the risk of mixing different adhesives and/or different materials, please check our POLICES for more information. 9. How long do eyelash extensions last? Eyelash extensions last 2-5 weeks on average depending on a number of factors such as aftercare, hair quality, weather, etc. 10. What can I do to make my extensions last longer? Do not get the extensions wet for the first 24 hours after your appointment, keep out of any steam rooms/saunas/swimming pools to give the adhesive sufficient time to bond to the natural lash. Avoid vigorous rubbing of the eyes or tugging at your lashes. Do not use oil-based makeup or makeup removers. Please refer to our LASH CARE section for more information. 11. Can I still wear makeup/mascara? We do not recommend wearing mascara since it is very difficult to remove from the extensions without pulling at your natural eyelashes. Please use oil-free cosmetics when removing makeup close to the eye area while wearing eyelash extensions. 12. Can I use an eyelash curler to curl my lash extensions? No, an eyelash curler will break the bond on your extensions and will damage your natural eyelashes. 13. Will I lose my own lashes? No, as long as you refrain from rubbing your eyes or tugging at the extensions you will not lose your own lashes. Please refer to the aftercare instructions in your starter packet as well as our LASH CARE section for further information. 14. What is the length and thickness of the extensions that are used? Our lash extensions range from 8mm to 15mm in length, and 0.15mm to 0.20mm in thickness. 15. What type of adhesive does Lash n Brow by KT use? Our lash technicians only use medical-grade adhesive solely made for professional eyelash extensions. Our medical-grade adhesive is formaldehyde-free, contains butyl cyanoacrylate (for fast bonding), poly alkyl methacrylate (for extra hold) and poly isocyanate pigment (for mascara-like color). 16. When do I have to get them retouched? We recommend clients come in for touch ups every 2-3 weeks. Humans lashes are growing and shedding naturally, so as time passed, lashes are getting tangled and uneven looking. Clients who prefer to maintain a very full look come in on a weekly basis. 17. How do you remove eyelash extensions? Removals are done at the salon by the lash artist. Do not attempt to remove the lash extensions yourself, it is best to schedule an appointment to have them professionally removed with a special removing solvent. You may also wait for your natural lash cycle to complete and have the extensions fall off naturally.

Waterprrof, smudge-proof and completely realistic! 4. Who should not get permanent makeup done? Pregnant/nursing, under 18 years old, have a fresh tan/burn face, are currently using Accutane or have used in the past year, are on blood thinning medication, have Rosacea. 5. How should I prepare for my appointment? If you have reference photos feel free to bring them. If you prefer to have your brows waxed/threaded prior please do so at least 48 hours before your appointment, otherwise, I will clean your brows after I draw your brows. Do not tan for 30 days prior to your appointment. Do not use any products that contain Retin-A near your brows before and after. Do not take any blood-thinning medications (i.e. Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Fish oil, Vitamin E) at least 72 hours before and immediately after your procedure. Do not drink alcohol the day before and the day of the appointment. 6. A detailed aftercare form will be handed to you at the end of your treatment, you must follow every step in order to have good results, not following the aftercare will cause poorly healed results. Not following the above instructions may cause bleeding, which will affect how well your body retains pigment and will affect your final result. *There are no guarantees or refunds with Cosmetic tatoo services, each client has a different skin type, if you do not disclose health conditions or current medications you are taking this will greatly affect your retention as certain medicines counteract the pigment used. Always be open and honest with your technician.

What is the SMP/Scalp Shading?Scalp micropigmentation (SMP) is a cosmetic procedure that involves tattooing tiny dots on the scalp to mimic the appearance of hair follicles. It's often used to create the illusion of a closely shaved or buzzed hairstyle, providing a solution for those with thinning hair, receding hairlines, or baldness. Scalp Shading/Blending Is a technique where colors are blended and applied to the scalp. This new technique is trending in South Korea now. Scalp Shading/Blending is a procedure where pigment is safely injected into the epidermal layer, creating the illusion of density by layering dots without causing damage to hair follicles. This helps conceal areas of diminished hair or gaps resulting from hair loss. Scalp shading, unlike traditional scalp tattoos, involves layering dots instead of individual points. It minimizes scalp damage by injecting pigment into the epidermal layer rather than the dermal layer, achieving even color distribution. *Please note that Scalp shading/blending is not feasible for completely bald clients. The presence of some stubble is necessary or the procedure. For those with complete baldness, I recommend seeking a specialized scalp micropigmentation(SMP) studio.
